Lace up. The Alps are calling.

This summer, Run Far heads to South Tyrol, Italy, for the Schnalstal Alpine Trail — a point-to-point alpine race from Schnalstal down to Unser Frau, surrounded by serious peaks and real mountain terrain. This trip is built together with SALTY, a small team that creates events the right way: raw, honest, and for people who actually run. This is not a casual weekend — expect technical trails, beautiful waterfalls, glacier views, and long days in the mountains. But also: more than a race.

Morning yoga with mountain views. Easy runs and hikes. Hanging out at reservoirs. Spikeball between glaciers. Shared meals. And on Saturday night, after the races, a proper mountain afterparty with DJs, live bands, and a final night together the way it should be.

Distances & GPX
  • 10 km / ~288 m D+ — a short scenic loop around the Vernagt reservoir, perfect as a first mountain race
  • 29.5 km / ~2,119 m D+ — a proper alpine challenge with steep climbs and technical trails
  • 58 km / ~3,626 m D+ — a full day in the mountains, long, demanding, and rewarding
  • Vertical K (optional, Thursday): 8 km / ~1,300 m D+ — straight up. No compromise.
